MOTT THE HOOPLE 2019 US/UK TOUR REPORT!!!
SOLO CONCERT AND TALK SHOW BY MORGAN FISHER
Open: 7:00pm, Starts 7:30pm, in Morgan Salon

British keyboardist Morgan Fisher (ex-Mott the Hoople, Queen, Yoko Ono, etc.) is delighted to announce that in April this year, Mott the Hoople - the 1974 post-Bowie/Dudes lineup - performed spectacularly successful tours in the US/UK for the first time since 1974. Original members Ian Hunter (vocal, gtr, piano), Ariel Bender (gtr) and Morgan Fisher (piano) were joined by members of Ian’s Rant Band. They played songs from their last studio album “The Hoople” (some rarely performed live) as well other hits and rare tracks.

As a special report of the tours, for Mott lovers in Japan who could not make it to the US or UK, Morgan will play a solo concert in the intimate surroundings of his own Morgan Salon home studio.

Mott songs will of course be played live, and Morgan will talk about his career with Mott then and now. He will show live
videos of the band from these recent tours. Also, like the 8mm films he shot of the band offstage in 1974, he will
show his candid "road videos," now shot on HD video, of the band soundchecking, travelling, and generally having fun together on this amazing tour.

The "famous friends" shown in the image above are, from left to right: JOE ELLIOTT (DEF LEPPARD), LENNY KAYE (PATTI
SMITH BAND), BRIAN MAY (QUEEN), BOBBY GILLESPIE (PRIMAL SCREAM), LISA RONSON (Mick Ronson's daughter),
MICK JONES (THE CLASH), TINA WEYMOUTH & CHRIS FRANTZ (TALKING HEADS), JOHN FIDDLER (MEDICINE
HEAD, BRITISH LIONS). They all hung out with Mott during these tours, and Brian and Joe joined Mott onstage in London.
Video/photo evidence will be shown!

A great night for celebrating the only band David Bowie produced apart from Lou Reed and Iggy Pop. Bowie composed Mott’s biggest hit in 1972, the classic “ All The Young Dudes”, which along with several other memorable hits ensures that their appeal is still ongoing and relevant. Also, Morgan is very hopeful that Mott will at some point extend their reunion tour to Japan and Australia!

Entry is 3000 yen with reservation, 3500 without reservation, payable at the door.
Complimentary WINE, tea, juice and snacks will be served in the interval.

Morgan Salon is a five-minute walk from Daitabashi Station (on the Keio Line).
Address: 2-2-4 Izumi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo 168-0063

Reservation is suggested, as seating is limited to 35 persons.
Please reserve by clicking HERE to send an email, with your name and phone number.

Morgan looks forward to meeting you!
